(1) The Government of Nepal may order the National Investigation Department to investigate the matters it deems necessary.
(2) In accordance with sub-section (1), the investigating officer may use the powers vested in the police in accordance with the Police Act, 2012 in connection with the investigation by the National Investigation Department. (3) According to sub-section (1), if any irregularity appears from the investigation conducted by the National Investigation Department, the Government of Nepal will prosecute the concerned person according to the prevailing law.
